Visiting a church for the first time can feel a little uncertain. We want to make it as easy as possible.

At 1st Church, you’ll find ordinary people from different ages and backgrounds learning to follow Jesus together. You don’t have to dress a certain way, know all the answers, or have everything figured out before you come.

We’d love to have you join us this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Come as you are, and come expecting to encounter Jesus through worship, His Word, and the people around you.

What to Expect

Our Sunday gathering begins at 10:30 a.m. and usually lasts about 80 minutes. You can expect worship through music, prayer, and biblical preaching in a relaxed atmosphere. Children from birth through 5th grade are welcome in Discipleland, our children’s ministry designed especially for them. Come a few minutes early—or stay afterward—for coffee, tea, donuts, and conversation.

We want you to feel genuinely welcome without feeling singled out or pressured. You’ll find people of different ages and backgrounds who enjoy being together, and we hope you’ll have the opportunity to build real relationships as you get connected.

You don’t need to dress up to join us. Most people come casually, though you’ll see everything from jeans to Sunday best. Our worship includes both familiar hymns and newer songs, and the atmosphere is relaxed without losing sight of why we’ve gathered—to worship Jesus together.

Prayer is woven into the life of our church. We pray together when we gather, pray for one another throughout the week, and seek God’s wisdom and guidance as we serve Him together.

We believe the Bible is God’s Word—true, trustworthy, and relevant for every part of life. Each week, we open Scripture together to understand what it says, what it means, and how it calls us to follow Jesus. The NIV is our primary translation, though other trustworthy translations may occasionally be used.
