There are 168 hours in a week.
For many people, church is about one hour a week.
One hour to worship. One hour to hear the Bible. One hour to think about God.
One hour out of 168.
That one hour matters… But by itself…
Not because church does not matter… Church matters deeply.
But Jesus did not come to be a small part of our schedule. He came to save us, forgive us, change us, and lead our whole life.
1/168 is a reminder that faith was never meant to be something we “visit” once a week.
Following Jesus is not just about attending church.
It is about trusting Him. Walking with Him. Learning from Him. Obeying Him. Depending on Him.
Let Jesus shape every part of life.
Your home. Your work. Your family. Your habits. Your thoughts. Your future.
One hour may be a good start… But Jesus is worthy of more than one hour.
The deepest problem in our lives is not that we are busy.
The deeper problem is sin.
The Bible says:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 NIV
Sin is not just making mistakes. Sin is turning from God and living life our own way.
And all of us have done that.
But the good news is this: God did not leave us there.
God loves sinners.
Jesus, the Son of God, came into the world. He lived without sin. He died on the cross for our sin. He rose again from the dead.
Because of Jesus, you can be forgiven. You can be made new. You can have peace with God. You can have real hope.
The Bible says:
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 NIV
And:
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13 NIV
Salvation is not earned by church attendance, good behavior, religious activity, or trying harder. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace received by turning from sin and trusting in Jesus Christ.
You can respond to Jesus today.
You do not need perfect words. You do not need to clean yourself up first.
You can pray honestly:
“God, I know I have sinned.
I believe Jesus died for my sin and rose again.
I turn from my sin and trust Jesus as my Savior and Lord.
Forgive me. Save me. Change me.
Help me follow You.”
The prayer itself does not save you. Jesus saves. But prayer is one way to call out to Him in faith.
